Disposable lighters are bad for the environment; with refill lighters you often have no gas or petrol at hand at the crucial time.

This arc lighter from TFA works with an electrically generated arc and can be charged easily and economically using a micro USB cable – on a laptop, PC or power bank – just like your smartphone. The LED indicator lights flash when the battery needs to be charged and it is ready for use again after 1 – 2 hours of charging.

This practical device has even more advantages over conventional lighters: Since it does not generate an open flame, it ignites like a storm lighter in all weathers and offers more safety. By pressing the button, the arc builds up between the electrodes. A protective cover prevents unwanted ignition. The arc is automatically interrupted as soon as you release the button or after 7 seconds at the latest.
